Privacy Policy for Bhudki

Bhudki (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a personal finance management app built for users in Nepal. We value your privacy and aim to keep your financial information secure.

1. Data Storage & Backup

Your financial data, including income, expenses, categories, budgets, and reminders, is stored locally on your device. Bhudki does not upload or sync this financial data to our own servers.

If Android/Google device backup is enabled, your Bhudki app data may be included in your device backup and restored when you install Bhudki on another device using the same Google account. This backup is managed by Android/Google and is subject to Google’s policies.

You can also export your data using the CSV export feature.

2. Information We Collect

Bhudki uses third-party services to improve the app, send notifications, provide advertising, measure app usage, and identify crashes. These services may collect technical or usage information such as device information, app events, advertising identifiers, and crash diagnostics.

We use:

Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4) — app usage and analytics.
Firebase Crashlytics — crash and diagnostic reports.
Meta SDK — app events, analytics, and measurement.
OneSignal — push notifications and reminders.
Meta Audience Network — advertising, ad measurement, and related advertising services.
Google AdMob — advertising, ad measurement, and related advertising services.

These advertising services may collect or use information such as device information, advertising identifiers, IP address, and interactions with advertisements. Depending on your device settings and applicable policies, this information may be used for personalized or non-personalized advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and related purposes.

Bhudki does not intentionally collect or store your financial transactions, contacts, biometric data, or personal financial information on our servers.

3. Biometric Data

If App Lock is enabled, biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device’s operating system. Bhudki does not access or store your fingerprint or face data.

4. Permissions

Bhudki may request access to:

Biometric authentication — for App Lock.
Notifications — for reminders and notifications.
Internet access — for analytics, crash reporting, notifications, and advertising.

You can manage permissions through your device settings.

5. Data Security

Financial data is stored locally in a SQLite database. App Lock credentials are protected using Android’s secure storage mechanisms, including Android Keystore.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete your local Bhudki data by deleting the app or using available in-app deletion options. Data included in Android/Google backups is managed separately by Google.

7. Children’s Privacy

Bhudki is intended for users aged 18 and above and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
